Hi. I'm Suzan Acker. I started Acker Bakery after falling in love with the process of making sourdough bread. It takes time to make a delicious loaf of sourdough and that's exactly what I needed - to slow down. In today's unpredictable world, slowing down to make bread has helped me connect with myself, my family and my community. It has enhanced my life in so many ways.
It amazes me that this traditional form of bread making only requires three simple ingredients: flour, water and salt. Every loaf is naturally leavened and long-fermented for optimal nutrition. So simple.

All of my breads are made fresh daily and i use only the best ingredients from our local community to ensure that every bite is delicious while supporting our community.
